Abstract

Fires in traditional markets are a yearly occurrence and are highly likely to expand into large-scale fires and disasters. Therefore, in order to prevent the spread of large fires in traditional markets, it is important to closely analyze fire risk factors and derive countermeasures. Accordingly, the results of the previous research case survey — the traditional market fire status survey — were analyzed and countermeasures were presented based on the derived fire risk factors and problems. In addition, 30 fire officials who are experts in the field of fire risks were surveyed (expert survey techniques) and the importance and priority of fire risk factors and countermeasures were analyzed through risk assessment and Analytic Hierarchy Process.
