Abstract
The article studies the content of the poetic locus of Almaty in its different historical periods. The author compares two artistic images of the city: created in the 1960s and in the 2020s. The poetics of Alma-Ata, read from the space-time series of natural and urban images, has undergone a significant transformation over the past 60 years. Based on the material of the “Almaty cycle” by the Kazakh poet Vera Savelyeva, it is proved that in the poems of the Almaty poets of the beginning of the 21st century a different intonation appeared, the dominant emotion changed, the semiotic code of Almaty changed, but at the same time, Almaty as an artistic locus is not lost, therefore, the poetics of the city also functions creatively
