Abstract
This paper discusses technologies for using mathematical modeling methods in teaching information technology. A method for selecting the types of problems to be solved using mathematical modeling and decision-making methods is proposed. Mathematical modeling makes it possible to present current information in a more compact, structured form, since mathematical formulas are designed to allow you to write the current problem in a more concise, understandable and memorable form. Another important area that can be used in educational projects is the assessment and calculation of alternative energy sources that are more efficient than the electricity used today. Of great interest is also the study of the dynamics of human reproduction in modern society. When implementing the above projects with the help of a computer, you can find a solution to the problem, create a simulation model and display a graphic image using software such as PowerSim.
