Abstract

The article highlights the process of formation of merchant ships in Ancient Russia. It is noted that the need for the institution of judicial proceedings of economic disputes arose along with the development of trade relations, which later developed into broader economic relations. The article reveals the norms contained in Russian Pravda, the Dvina Charter, the Novgorod court Charter, and other legal acts that regulate trade relations in a certain way, including issues of resolving trade disputes.
