Abstract

We reported two cases of sisters with Schmid tye of Metaphyseal chondrodysplasia, which were treated by correction osteotomies.The first case, a 7-year-old elder sister, was admitted with chief complaints of limping and bow leg deformity. On roentgenogram, her right hip joint showed severe coxa vara, and her left tibia showed specific lucent line like a fracture line. This lucent line on a tibia seemed to be reported first in Japan.The second case, a 6-year-old yunger sister, was admitted with a chief complaint of limping. On roentgenogram, her right hip showed coxa vara, which was milder than that of the elder sister.
