Abstract
The article discusses some of the methodological and cultural foundations for translation in the context of the integrative trends of the modern information and communication space. The problem of translation is transformed and updated through correlation: technological capabilities and culture-forming functions of translation in the space of intercultural communication. Culture-oriented and culture-forming literary translation is considered as a reflexive resource of hermeneutic understanding based on the universalization of aesthetics, as well as a cultural-aesthetic and ethical-existential experience in which the translator is an interpreter and co-author. In the process of literary translation, transdisciplinary synthesis can reveal a tendency towards transcendental synthesis based on meaning formation and translation of intercultural meanings of the semiotic space.
