Abstract

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to systematically review the domestic research literature on the effectiveness of leisure education programs.<BR> Method: This study collected the literature related to leisure education from the academic database (RISS, DBpia, KCI, KISS, eArticle, etc). And, after the literature selection process, a total of 18 literatures were selected for the final analysis.<BR> Results: The results of this study were as follows. First, in the characteristics of literature, articles in journals and articles published after 2010 were relatively large. Also, It was found that there was relatively lot of research on adolescents, mixed groups, more than 21 and less than 40 sample size, non-equivalent control group design. Second, in the composition of the program, it was found that there was relatively many researches on less than 8 weeks, twice a week, and less than 10 sessions in total. Third, in the effect of leisure education programs, the most frequently used dependent variables were leisure attitude and leisure ability. In most studies, positive results were shown. However, in testing the statistical significance of program effects, some results were not statistically significant.<BR> Conclusion: Finally, the limitations of this study and future research orientation are discussed. This study is a systematic review of domestic literature that verifies the effectiveness of leisure education programs, and it is significant in that it was first attempted in Korea.
