Abstract

The history and defined stages of the formation and development of rehabilitation care from the 19th century have been studied. to modern times. The formation of the methodology for the organization of rehabilitation assistance in national health care systems is shown. The logistics of the WHO’s initiatives regarding the recognition of rehabilitation assistance as the main direction of the development of medical service delivery systems have been studied. What is connected with the provision of human rights in the field of health, the achievement of health for all. The role of national governments, the responsibility of communities and the importance of primary medical care in ensuring the availability of rehabilitation care are shown. The main provisions of the WHO documents on the problem of rehabilitation are presented.
