Abstract
The results of studying the vegetation of the specially protected natural area "Bolshesitovskoe swamp" are presented. Several types of forest, meadow, and bog associations were identified on the territory of the surveyed area. The predominant types of forests in this area are light-coniferous (pine forests): green moss pine forests (lingonberry pine forests and blueberry pine forests), sphagnum pine forests, small areas of moss-lichen pine forests are noted. Dark coniferous forests are represented by green moss spruce forests, horsetail spruce forests, sphagnum spruce forests, large-fern fir-spruce forests, and green moss fir-spruce associations. Pine-spruce green moss forests are found. Mixed forests are represented by pine-birch and birch-pine forests, spruce-birch herb and horsetail associations. Swamps are represented by upland, low-land and transitional types. Meadow vegetation is present only in areas disturbed by humans and in the floodplain of the river. Yaiva (very small areas of floodplain meadows). Depending on the degree of mois-ture in disturbed areas, barren meadows and boggy meadows (close to lowland or raised bogs) are formed.
