Abstract
The history of the Kazakh statehood will undoubtedly be of great importance in the current political situation of Kazakhstan and the development of the national idea, strengthening the support of the country. The Kazakh people were recognized as a heroic people – there were many heroic personalities in its history. In Kazakh history, the study of political, heroic activity and personal qualities of khans and biys, leaders and batyrs, generals has always been relevant. One of the topics that became a big scientific problem in Kazakhstani historiography was the political activity of the last Kazakh Khan Kenessary Kassymuly, his heroic activity in Kazakh society. The article examines the history of the national liberation uprising of the Kazakh people led by Kenessary Kassymuly, his socio-political activities and his personal characteristics, as well as examines the political measures implemented by Kenessary Kassymuly in the Kazakh steppe, gives a historical assessment of the actions of a national character.
