Abstract
The article provides an overview of publications devoted to the history of the formation and development of academic life in the Kola North, and about the employees of the Kola Scientific Center. In post-Soviet times, the subject of publications has expanded significantly, primarily due to the diversity of types of sources and the development of anthropological aspects of the study of academic science, however, many issues have not yet been sufficiently studied. The author considers the study of the history and culture of academic families to be one of the promising directions.
