Abstract
The article considers the phenomenon of ethnographic reconstruction as a fact of modern culture. Reconstructions are are being considered using examples of the practical activities of museums and other institutions; an attempt is also made to identify the essential characteristics of this cultural practice in order to promote it successfully.
