Abstract
The issues of vehicle performance management under operating conditions are considered. The mechanism of changing the technical condition of the unit, the connection of parts, and the vehicle as a whole is given. The physical substantiation of the laws of failures with energy consumption is shown. The criterion of performance management during the operation of the vehicle is given, the significance of the tightness of the connection between failures and with energy consumption by fuel consumption using the Pearson statistical criterion
