Abstract

Objectives The purposes of this study were to examine the research trends related to culture and arts education for marriage migrant women. Through this study, it intends to provide insights and directions for future culture and arts education targeting marriage migrant women.
 Methods The subject of this study consists of a total of 59 academic journals and dissertations related to culture and arts education for marriage migrant women. The research trends in cultural arts education targeting marriage migrant women were analyzed and categorized based on publication year, research methodology, research field, research topics, and keywords.
 Results First, the research related to culture and arts education for marriage migrant women was most prevalent between 2010 and 2011. Second, in terms of research methodology, literature review was the most commonly used method, followed by qualitative research, mixed-methods research, and quantitative research. Third, the re-search fields were predominantly related to literature, followed by general arts, visual arts, dance, music, and theater. Fourth, regarding research topics, the majority focused on educational approaches in the context of broader themes. Lastly, the analysis of keywords through word cloud visualization revealed that topics related to multicultural families, Korean culture education, Korean language education, multicultural society, literary educa-tion, and cultural adaptation were prominent. Additionally, themes associated with the identity of marriage mi-grant women, such as identity restoration, hybrid cultural identity, self-identity, and narrative identity, were also identified.
 Conclusions This study analyzed the trends in research on culture and arts education targeting marriage migrant women in Korean society, where marriage migrant women hold a significant presence in the multicultural era. The significance lies in providing insights and future directions for related research in the context of marriage migrant women's culture and arts education within the multicultural society of Korea.
