Abstract

At the present stage of deve- lopment, digitalization is a determining factor in the efficiency and competitiveness of activities, the organization of relationships with buyers, service and supply organizations, and, accordingly, the success of the entire business of an enterprise. In Russia today, various digitalization projects are being implemented in many sectors of the agroindustrial complex (AIC), which requires the transformation of traditional methods of production and economic activity. The basis of this process can be a single organizational and economic mechanism for the digitalization of agribusiness. In the process of studying the works of domestic and foreign scientists devoted to the digitalization of various industries, inclu- ding agriculture and the agro-industrial complex in general, differences in the author's approaches to the sequence and breadth of innovation were identified. Analysis of data on the level of digitalization of various sectors of the country's eco- nomy demonstrates that the development of digital technologies in Russia corresponds to the world average, and in some indicators it is ahead of some developed countries. At the same time, the country's agriculture lags behind the leading industries in terms of digitalization, which opens up broad prospects for the introduction of information technology or IT. To increase the efficiency and organization of ongoing processes, an organizational and economic mechanism for the digitalization of the agro-industrial complex at the regional level is proposed. The developed mechanism is considered as a dynamic process, including starting, transit, terminal stages and assuming bifurcation in organizational (management, administration, legal and regulatory support) and economic elements (calculations, costs, budget financing and subsidies), as well as a fivetier structure of performed activities. The mechanism is intended for implementation at the level of management bodies of the agro-industrial complex, agricultural, processing, marketing, supply and service enterprises of the regions. The introduction of the mechanism into practice by reducing the costs of commodity circulation will ensure an increase in the efficiency of enterprises and the competitiveness of agricultural products.
