Abstract

This study aims to grasp urban regeneration issues over 10 years since the introduction of urban regeneration policies. For this purpose, keywords and networks were analyzed for the titles of 45,030 local daily newspapers provided by BIGKinds. The results are as follows. Above all, the main keywords were policy stance (‘public participation’, ‘local government’, ‘local economy’ etc.), delivery system (‘leading area’, ‘competition’, ‘urban regeneration support center’ etc.), linked contents (‘old town’, ‘culture’, ‘commercial area’ etc.). In addition, relevant issues were the selection of project and securing budget. By region, there was a difference in issues related to maintenance and regeneration projects between the metropolitan and local regions. A ‘local-type’ business model was the main issue in big cities. Based on the results of the above analyses, several implications were proposed on improving urban regeneration measures and sharing and spreading local cases.
