Abstract
This article considers the problem of the atmospheric air pollution by hydrogen sulfide emissions from facilities at sewer networks and substantiates the necessity to take these emissions into account as sources of impact. The author assesses the possibility of using various mathematical modeling methods to calculate the dispersion of emissions from such structures as ground-based sources of small capacity. An energy dissipation chamber was selected as a full-scale object in the study. Comparison of the results of the simulation obtained at the Main Geophysical Observatory, OND-86, Gaussian model and finite-element analysis in ANSYS CFX with the results of in-situ measurements has shown the greatest efficiency of the latter method.
