Abstract
This study examines the history of creation and writing methodology of “Shevchenko Encyclopedic Dictionary of Mykolaiv Region” – an original encyclopedic edition on Shevchenko Studies in the context of Local History, which sheds light on an inextricable, multifaceted, historico-cultural link between Mykolaiv Region (also referred to as Mykolaiv region) and the entire Ukraine, by the example of Shevchenko Studies, and carries educational purpose for the broad masses of the residents of the region as well as all others.
