Abstract

The article provides a rationale for the possibility of using deconvolution in engineering seismic exploration in order to identify shallow boundaries and layers of low thickness, for example, the roof of rocky soils, tracking groundwater levels, and identifying manifestations of the karst-suffusion process. Despite the somewhat skeptical attitude of geophysicists in the field of shallow-depth studies to some standard procedures for processing oil and gas seismic exploration, deconvolution can be applied to the study of shallow depths without any special conditions. In the article, this thesis is proven using the example of a selection of sufficiently heterogeneous in quality surveys
