Abstract

The article is devoted to the category of «reality» in phonography. A comprehensive methodological approach was used, including post-phenomenology, media theory and semiotics. It is postulated that «reality» in relation to sound recording is not an epistemic category, but rather an aesthetic one and confirms its status as a result of the complex action of system factors, and not only by the physical interaction of things.
