Abstract

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the trends of multicultural research in the field of physical education. Methods While conducting this study, the existing previous studies were classified by year and only listed (candidate) among academic journals in the field of physical education was selected, and the key words 'multicultural + physical education + sports activities' were cross-searched for a total of five years from 2018 to 2022. Prior to the start of the study, the contents were classified through the advice of expert group researchers (physical education, multicultural researchers, and sports sociology). Through the above method, a total of 40 data were adopted by experts in the field individually reviewing the contents and determining their suitability. The analysis of the content was organized through systematic analysis. Results First, over the past five years, studies related to 'multicultural + sports' and 'multicultural + sports' consisted of 9 in 2018, 8 in 2019, 13 in 2020, 5 in 2021, and 5 in 2022. Second, in the first section (2018-2019), sports participation (19), sports (18), sports activities (16), multicultural families (15), physical activities (14), school sports (12), sports education (10), sports (23), sports (22), sports (22), multicultural (201), family (203), and sports (1321), and sports education (153). Conclusions Until now, multicultural studies in the field of physical education are meaningful in that they contain various cultural and social factors without discrimination compared to other studies. In addition, it can be seen that it proves the value of sports and sports as a way to form a society that is created together.
