Abstract
The purpose of the research is to analyse university philosophy as a complex multidimensional phenomenon in the context of the philosophy of science. Novelty of the research lies in the understanding of university philosophy as a form of organisation of scientific activities and translation of scientific knowledge. As a result, the researcher has identified the place that university philosophy occupies in the system of philosophical science and substantiated its characteristics from the standpoint of the philosophy of science on the basis of the Western European and Russian scientific tradition.
