Abstract

Terson's syndrome is a combination of intraocular and intracranial (subarachnoid, subdural) hemorrhage resulting from a sudden increase in intracranial pressure. Purpose. To study the tactics of patients with hemorrhagic oculocerebral syndrome by the example of single clinical cases to help practicing ophthalmologists in the further clinical practice. Material and methods. The article describes a series of clinical cases of diagnosis and treatment of Terson syndrome in 46- and 36-year-old men after aneurysm of the right internal carotid artery and craniocerebral trauma, respectively. After stabilization of somatic condition and consultation with a neurosurgeon, the patients were admitted for surgical intervention. Results. In the postoperative period, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial therapy was prescribed, at the examination one year later, the patients had high visual function. Conclusion. Selection of timely correct treatment strategy helps to preserve high visual functions, quality of life of patients with Terson syndrome.
