Abstract

The paper studies the nepheline syenites of the Hrazdan Tezh Mountain deposit as a raw material for the production of alumina-belite cement. Based on the research results, a two-component raw material mixture was calculated using limestone travertines from the Ararat deposit, with the addition of gypsum and a mineral-forming additive to the composition of the charge from limestone and syenite. Belite and low-basic calcium aluminates were identified as the main phases in the clinkers fired from these components.
