Abstract

The article discusses the terminological features of the concepts of "strategy" and "tactics", analyzes various definitions of "translation strategy" and "translation tactics". It is postulated that court interpreting is a kind of community interpreting; the main characteristics of community interpreting are highlighted. The features of the communicative situation of court interpreting are considered, and, finally, strategies and tactics for the implementation of translation at court hearings are presented for the first time.
