Abstract

This study was conducted to identify the effect of social worker s and agency level indicators affecting on client-centered practice of social welfare center practitioners. To that end, a survey was conducted on 203 social workers at social welfare centers in Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon. To answer a major research question in this study, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted by inputing demographics, worker and organizational level factors to predict levels of practitioners client-centered practice. Findings indicated that personal communication ability in worker level indicators and innovative organizational culture of organizational level indicators. Alongside with implications regarding programs that can strengthen the communication skills of practitioners, other practical suggestions are also discussed in the conclusion.
