Abstract
Acne is the most common skin disorder, affecting almost 90 % of young people under the age of 20. Modern research also indicates an increase in the incidence in adulthood. According to Russian and foreign literature, the incidence of acne in women aged 25–55 years ranges from 3 to 40 % Moreover, in recent years, more often in women, the onset of acne occurs at the age of over 25 years. Localization of rashes on the face, considered by women as a cosmetic defect, in almost all patients leads to the formation of various psychoemotional disorders, causes difficulties in social and professional adaptation, while in adult women these disorders are more pronounced than at puberty. The article discusses the etiopathogenesis and therapy of late acne and their consequences in women. The results of studies of the effectiveness of methods of treating late acne in women, depending on the factors of their occurrence, are presented, the use of hormone replacement therapy is substantiated. The authors have shown the high efficiency and compliance of the combination therapy of late acne in women
