Abstract

The article comprehensively describes the history of the establishment of the Semirechye region from 1848 to 1867, with the name first of the bailiff of the Great Zhuz, after from 1856 the head of the Alatau district. In particular, various actions of local military-administrative authorities to establish colonial order in the region after the conquest of Semirechie, inhabited by the Kazakhs of the Great Zhuz and the Kirghiz, are analyzed in detail. In other words, the main goal of this institution of the colonial policy of the tsarist Russian Empire was the destruction of the unity of the Kazakh tribes of the Great Zhuz and the Kyrgyz, for the final possession of Semirechye. At the same time, the article objectively analyzes and scientifically assesses the aggravation of the land dispute in the Semirechye region with the help of the intervention of Russian authorities, the conquests of Russian military formations in the Semirechye, as well as the relationship between the administration of the Alatau district with local management groups and colonization methods.
