Abstract

The National Library of Armenia, a vital public institution, has played a crucial role in accumulating a vast database of human knowledge over its century-long existence. Emphasizing the importance of making its collections accessible and usable, the library has adapted its priorities in response to challenges posed by the pandemic and war. Aligning with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) introduced in 2017, libraries, including the National Library of Armenia, contribute significantly by promoting literacy, ensuring free information availability, and fostering safe and inclusive spaces. The integration of libraries into the SDGs is rooted in their role as primary suppliers of information, supporting the broader goals of sustainable development.
