Abstract

The article describes N. M. Konshin’s activities in the Free Society of Lovers of Russian Letters, previously not covered in the scholarly literature, and outlines the relationships between the creative strategy of the young writer and his non-literary successes. It allows not only to clarify certain episodes of Konshin’s biography, but also to draw conclusions about the «social capital» of this Society in the early 1820s.
