Abstract
The scientific article discusses the theoretical aspects of inflation: its essence, types, types, causes of its occurrence, as well as positive and negative consequences. The features of inflationary processes taking place in the modern Russian economy are analyzed. The dynamics of the inflation rate, the state budget from 2018 to 2022 are considered, the dynamics of the maximum values of the US dollar monthly in 2022 is illustrated. An assessment of the dependence of the state budget on prices for oil and gas products is presented based on a study of the structure of federal budget revenues. Russia's strategy for the near future is formulated, which is characterized by a high degree of uncertainty.
