Abstract

The struggle of the Armenian population of Artsakh against the Azerbaijan aggression has been going on for almost three decades. In the Artsakh Wars (1988 - 1994, 2016, 2020) the Armenian people showed their united strength, tried to stop the enemy's aggression, to force and affirm their right to live freely. The idea of the power of unity is the basis of the Armenian folk dances. War dances are aimed at increasing the combat effectiveness of the fighters, ensuring the successful course of hostilities, contributing to victory. The performance of the war dances during the Artsakh war is the first attempt of research, where we clarify how much the war dances inspired the freedom fighters, gave them vital strength to fight, and fixed the victory in the consciousness.
