Abstract

The primary objective of this article is to provide a comprehensive depiction of Alen Margaryan's life, characterized by brevity yet replete with a diverse array of experiences. Alen Margaryan, a contemporary young individual of the 21st century, was distinguished by a stellar educational background, profound knowledge, expansive intellectual horizons, and a steadfast commitment to exemplary human values. He attained his educational laurels by earning a diploma with excellence from the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan and subsequently pursued higher education at Boston University. However, propelled by an unwavering sense of duty to his homeland, Alen made the conscious choice to prioritize military service and was conscripted in August 2020. The article's overarching aim is to offer a holistic portrayal of Alen Margaryan, with a particular emphasis on his active involvement in the armed conflict. Despite having served in the military for a mere month and a half at the onset of hostilities, he displayed unwavering valor while stationed on the frontlines of Talish and Mataghis as a member of the Signal Corps. Even though his official responsibilities obliged him to maintain a concealed presence, Alen unflinchingly positioned himself on the frontlines of Talish and Mataghis from the very outset of the conflict. Tragically, Alen Margaryan met his untimely demise on September 30, succumbing to a drone strike. In recognition of his dedication and service, he was posthumously bestowed with the highest honor, the "Hero of Artsakh" title, by the President of Artsakh on June 29, 2021. The central conclusion drawn from this article is that Alen Margaryan remained resolute in his convictions until his final moments and steadfastly honored his oath to the Motherland.
