Abstract

The article presents the analysis of literary time and space acting as one of the key cycle-forming factors in such a genre as a “short story cycle”. Comprehension of these categories by the material of the “Northland Stories” cycle by J. London allows interpreting them from a completely new position - as an integral epic literary work. The author focuses on structural links in the text, where the chronotope is the main element modifying the “Northland Stories” cycle into a separate literary world of the North.
