Abstract

This study attempted to investigate the influence of organizational service orientation on the quality of working life(QWL) and organizational effectiveness among nail salon laborers and analyze a causality among variables. The above results confirmed positive causality among organizational service orientation, QWL, and organizational effectiveness. Specifically, ‘service leadership,’ ‘service system’ and ‘service encounter’ were core factors affecting QWL. In addition, ‘management of human resources’ revealed an influence on QWL. All organizational service orientation factors (service leadership, management of human resources, service system, service encounter) affected ‘organizational effectiveness.’ Furthermore, all QWL factors (managerial factor, organizational factor, personal factor) were core factors affecting ‘organizational effectiveness.’ Hence, it appears that the development of a new internal system to stay competitive by analyzing employees’ personalities and utility under the current situations of an increase in the number of nail salons would be beneficial.
