Abstract

The study aims to reconstruct a segment of the German ethnic group’s linguistic conceptualisation objectified by the corpus of phraseological units with a myconymic (representing names of mushrooms) nominal core component from the standpoint of the linguocultural approach. Scientific novelty of the research lies in choosing little-studied phraseological material, including archaic idioms related to the thematic field “Mushrooms”, and in conducting their linguocultural analysis. As a result, phraseological units with the core components “PILZ”, “TRÜFFEL”, “PFIFFERLING”, encapsulating principle concepts of mushrooms within the German linguistic worldview, are identified, organised and described.
