Abstract
The principal aim of this study is to ascertain the most appropriate multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) method for evaluating the investment attractiveness of companies. The analysis encompasses several promi- nent methods, including MOORA, EDAS, VIKOR, PROMETHEE, ELECTRE, and TOPSIS, with a particular emphasis on their algorithms and their application in investment decision-making. The efficacy of these methodologies was evalu- ated using data from the grocery retail sector, including companies such as Magnit, X5 Retail Group, and Lenta. Among the methods assessed, TOPSIS was identified as a particularly effective approach, given its capacity to assess alternatives by measuring their proximity to an ideal solution and distance from the least favorable scenario.
