Abstract

The first data on atypical development of female cones of the Kayander larch in Magadan city plantings, sprouted by vegetative shoots, are presented. Single trees with few cones with shoots occur more often, but in one of the downtown subdivisions there are larches in which this phenomenon is especially strongly manifested. Beyond the city boundaries, such cones have not been found. Possible reasons for this phenomenon are discussed in the article.
