Abstract

The article examines trends in the main parameters of the labor market in general and in the context of subject of the Russian Federation within the Far Eastern Federal District. The range of analyzed indicators characterizing the labor market includes the number of labor force aged 15 years and older, the number of employed and the employment rate, the number of unemployed and the unemployment rate. The analysis period is eighteen quarters: starting from Q1 2019 to Q2 2023. Official publications and operational data of Rosstat were used as information sources. The main attention is paid to changes that occurred in key indicators of regional labor markets under the influence of shock situations (COVID-19 pandemic, partial mobilization in the Russian Federation, sanctions). It is shown that, despite their negative impact, as well as the decrease in the labor force, in the Far Eastern regions the employment rate has stabilized, and the unemployment rate continues to decline
