Abstract

In the rapidly changing economic and industrial environment in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, job loss and employment restructuring have resulted in the unemployment of college students becoming an important problem that affects the nation and society beyond an individual problem. In particular, in the case of the aviation industry, recruitment of flight cabin crew members is in a serious situation due to the prolonged COVID-19, and as a result, it is difficult for college students majoring in aviation tourism to choose and decide their career path due to uncertainty about their career path. Therefore, this study aims to verify the effect of social support perceived by college students majoring in aviation and tourism on grit and career maturity. The subjects of this study were 376 students from 4 two-year colleges and four 4-year colleges offering aviation tourism among university educational institutions, and SPSS 25.0 was used for statistical analysis. The results of the analysis were first, that social support had a significant positive effect on grit. Second, it was found that the social support had a significant positive effect on career maturity. Third, grit was found to have a significant positive effect on career maturity. A study on the effects of social support perceived by aviation tourism college students on grit and career maturity can be seen as an important way to improve maturity.
