Abstract

The therapeutic efficacy of the antibacterial drug "DOXY AVZ 500" was determined by the author's composition in two experiments. In the first: two groups of piglets with gastrointestinal pathology were formed, 12 animals each. The drug was administered to animals with water by the group method at a dose of 10 mg/kg of the active substance once a day. The animals of the 1st group received the drug for 3 days, and the 2nd group ‒ for 5 days. Full therapeutic efficacy (clinical well-being) in sick animals, it was achieved on the 3rd day after the start of treatment. In the second experiment, the antibacterial drug "DOXY AVZ 500" was used on piglets during post-weaning stress with gastrointestinal pathology of varying severity. The use of an antibacterial drug in pigs with gastrointestinal pathology leads to a decrease in the number of leukocytes, a restructuring of the leukocyte formula, an increase in the level of erythrocytes, hemoglobin, and hematocrit. A stable therapeutic effect is achieved on the fourth day of treatment. After using the drug in flushes from the rectum, the representation of Streptococcus hyointestinalis, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Streptococcus gallolyticus, E.coli (hemolytic strain) is completely eliminated. The drug is well tolerated by animals, no adverse events have been established.
