Abstract
An urgent public health problem in the Khabarovsk Krai is the high mortality rate of the region's population. In the article, the authors conducted a comparative analysis of mortality rates in 2010–2022 in the Khabarovsk Krai, the Russian Federation and the Far Eastern Federal District, reflected the impact of the coronavirus infection pandemic in 2020–2021 on the increase in mortality in the region, and identified the most disadvantaged disticts of the region in terms of this indicator. An analysis of the mortality rate of the working age population was also carried out, and the relationship between mortality and life expectancy of the population was studied. The authors believe that the analysis will make it possible to develop adequate organizational measures to reduce the mortality rate of the population for each subject of the region.
