Abstract

The Constitution of the Republic of Iraq in 2005 has included an introduction or a preamble like the rest of the constitutions. And if we look at the preamble, we find that it has formulated an accurate constitutional and legislative formulation that tried, by choosing its phrases, to confirm all the constitutional principles, meanings and ideas. In the forefront of those principles is the idea of ​​(good citizenship) that crystallized all its elements, its objectives and pillars through the precise constitutional drafting of the preamble. Good citizenship and its meanings and ideas emphasize that all individuals within the state must enjoy rights on an equal footing and abide by the duties imposed by the laws and legislation of the state.
