Abstract

The paper aims to identify the peculiarities of the creation of national characters in Tatar Soviet dramaturgy of the 1970-1980s. The scientific originality of the research consists in the attempt to reveal the regular patterns of ideological and aesthetic development of Tatar stage literature during the period under consideration through the concept of national hero. As a result of the research, it has been revealed that changing the concept of hero by creating new characters with strong Tatar mentality, loyal to moral principles, folk foundations, national traditions leads to the changes in the artistic world of dramatic works.
