Abstract

This paper deals with a series of male burials with accompanying goods concerned with horse. They were revealed at the necropoleis of Volna 1 and Artyushchenko 2 in the southern area of the Taman Peninsula. Mostly, these burials were made in mudbrick tombs and contain a rich set of funerary gifts. All the burials with horses found at the necropoleis Volna 1 and Artyushchenko 2 are datable to within the 5th century BC.
