Abstract
This article presents an overview of the formation of certain national stereotypes that have developed as a result of historical development. Journalism and the media have played a decisive role in this process. The article presents a retrospective analysis of Russian journalism using the example of the creation of the popular and beloved magazine “Murzilka”. The article examines and analyzes the period from the October Revolution to 1991. The language of the press of the Soviet period was very restrained, monotonous. Journalists with an individual style and artistic edge to their publications were worth their weight in gold. Further, a mixture of two newspeaks prevails in newspapers: the language of the previous era, heavily diluted with Anglicisms.
