Abstract
The article systematizes the problems of studying the theories of ethnos and ethnogenesis in the system of humanities at the present stage, studies that analyze the main methodological issues of ethnic studies. This article also focuses on ethnos, ethnogenesis, and ethnic history.It is known that the concept of an ethnos, its origin, role, and development in the process of history still do not have an unambiguous understanding in science. The existence and further development of each ethnic group was in many ways closely related to other ethnic groups. Academician Manash Kabashevich Kozybayev comprehensively investigated the problems of Kazakh history. The necessary research of the Kazakh people on the origin and history of the formation of the state is especially important. In our opinion, the students and descendants of the scientist will raise the Kazakh history to an even higher level.
