Abstract

Sample preparation and HPLC conditions for the quantitative determination of ascorbic acid in objects with a complex matrix (blood) were studied. Influences of ascorbic acid degradation in the presence of different stabilizers and a sample matrix on the determination accuracy and sample stability were investigated. It was shown the possibility of ascorbic acid determination in blood samples, provided the mandatory acid denaturation in presence of the complexing and reducing agents. Data on stability of ascorbic acid in aqueous solutions and blood samples are provided.
