Abstract
The proposed article discusses the issue of the national standard of working time. The value of a national measure of working time is shown, which, in fact, is a national standard of working time. Attention is paid to the consolidation of the national standard of working time in domestic labor law. The problems related to the isolation of the norms on the national standard of working time, on the concept and types of working time have been identified. It is proposed to delineate the concepts of working time from the norms providing for its duration to formulate the norms on the national standard of working time. In order to determine the prospects for the development of the studied norms, it is proposed to make adjustments to the name, content and location of certain norms on the working time of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.
