Abstract

. Urban design is an important component of the city formation, providing the convenience of its residents and guests, creating an attitude towards the city, determining its future. Urban design is a complex and multifaceted concept. The article discusses the components of design (urban architecture, environmental friendliness, ergonomics and manufacturability of the urban environment), reveals their impact on the city brand as a whole. On the example of the tourism industry, recommendations are given for transforming the city as a tourism object. As a result, directions for evaluating the urban design efficiency are identified.
